Alan:Now Sergei looks so sensible fellow. He seems to have a good sense of humor too.

Amy:Yes, I’m glad wegoing to have a nice lodger.

Alan:Ita very pleasant evening altogether.

Amy:Hmm, that Chinese restaurantreally very good.

Debby:That’s a very good record! I’ve always enjoyed Scriabin’s mazurkas.

Sergei: Well, you’ve heard all my records now.

Amy:Thank you for PLAYING  them to us.

Sergei: I’m glad you’ve enjoyed them. Your record playerreally excellent, Amy.

Alan: you sometimes go to concerts, Sergei?

Sergei: Not very often. I like music, but I’m afraid I’m too busy.

Debby:There’s a good concert at the Royal Festival Hall on Saturday afternoon. Theyplaying Hendel. What about GOING?

Sergei: The Royal Festival Hall? I’ve always wanted to see it.

Debby:I’ve oftento concerts there. It’s the most modern concert hall in England.

Alan:Oh yes, Sergei ought to see it.

Debby:Let’s all go to that concert on Saturday.

Alan:On Saturday? Well…I n’t know. I’m not sure I can go.

Debby:Why? You n’t work on Saturday afternoon surely.

Amy:Well, you see, Alannotvery fond of classical music. Healways preferred jazz.

Sergei: Oh,you going to a jazz concert on Saturday then, Alan?

Alan:No, not exactly. I’m going to a football match.

Debby:Oh well. We can go without Alan, can’t we?

Amy: Oh, good evening, aunt Gwen. I’m sorry, I’m back so late. I’ve  to The Old Flick with Betty and Sergei.

Alan: And whereSergei?

Amy: He  taking Betty home.

Aunt Gwen: WhoSergei?

Amy: Oh,n’t you  know, auntie? He’s our new lodger, a young specialist from Russia.

Aunt Gwen: I see.

Amy: Tomorrow I’m going to help him with some SHOPPING and on Friday…

Aunt Gwen: n’t he taking up too much of your time, Amy?

Amy: But I like HELPING him. You see, he n’t got friends in London, except Debby and us.

Aunt Gwen: he got any relations in England?

Amy: No. None in England. He’s got a cousin in Paris. And he’s told me a lot about his family in Russia. His father works in a factory. And Sergeia research specialist in the same factory.

Aunt Gwen: And his mother?

Amy: She comes from the country.

Aunt Gwen: his wife got a job?

Amy: Yes, she’s a teacher.

Aunt Gwen: they got any children?

Amy: Yes, two, a son aged 5  and a daughter aged 3.

Aunt Gwen: he got any brothers and sisters?

Amy: He’s got a sister, a younger sister. She’s a medical student.

Aunt Gwen: Well, well, I see, you really know a lot about him. he got any aunts and uncles, any grandfathers and grandmothers living?

Amy: He n’t told me yet, you know. I must remember to ask him tomorrow.
